Into Hot Springs

The hike from Max Patch to Hot Springs was nice and Bluff Mountain was probably the highlight of the section. The trail into Hot Springs was extremely dry. We were lucky to find a piped spring near Dear Park Mountain shelter that was barely dripping. It took about 10 minutes to fill a Nalgene. The following day we met up with Jess' dad Paul in Hot Springs for a tasty meal at Paddlers Pub. He brought us some tasty homemade food and camped out with us at a campsite near the river. Below is our campsite at Dear Park Mountain.

It felt so nice to swim around in the French Broad River.
